The club's previous name, Kopf hoch, was a symbol - and with an ever-compassionate hand on our shoulder, it was a reminder to give ourselves a jolt even in difficult times and to lift our heads to discover the sun behind the peaks. Kopf hoch has now been followed by Art in Motion since 2021.
Mit Lisa Anetsmann (Produktionsleitung), dem technischen Leiter Jeroen Smith und Simon Mayer als künstlerischem Leiter erweitert sich der Kreis der Mitwirkenden und UnterstützerInnen kontinuierlich und bringt immer wieder frischen Wind in die Struktur. Auch die Zusammenarbeit mit Hannah Shakti Bühler ist essentiell für die entstehenden Projekte. Vor allem die nationalen und internationalen, teilweise neu geknüpften Partnerschaften (u.a. durch Projekte “Village Party” mit den 3 europäischen Kulturhauptstädten 2024 und vermehrtes Touring in Osteuropa und Asien) erweitern unsere Perspektiven und unser Netzwerk. Im vergangenen Jahr stand das Festival der Regionen in Braunau im Mittelpunkt unserer Arbeit – 2026 werden wir einige FolkDanceParties in Deutschland und Österreich feiern.
The Art in Motion team is supported by Karoline M. Wibmer as overall dramaturgical consultant and company coach by means of retreats in order to work out the constant internal and external changes and integrate them into everyday life. This should further promote the ongoing embodiment of our research topic “Sustainability and well-being in the art sector”.
The development and use of alternative performance spaces beyond the black box has become a constant part of our work, and we would like to initiate new spaces for exchange and artistic co-regulation in the spirit of sustainability.
